About the Item

A beautifully designed & crafted, scarcely seen chest of drawers manufactured by E-Gomme for G-Plan of Great Britain. This three drawer chest formed part of the 'China White' range which was introduced in 1956. Condition: Very good restored condition Still as any vintage piece it still show wear and terar. Bit of loss paint close to the habdles. Clean interior of drawers but with scratches. They run smothly except for the upper one which sometimes stuck a little. Features off-white lacquered drawer fronts with the carcass framed in blonde oak, with distinctive ebonised legs beautifully set off by brass feet and matching brass drawer pulls. This has not been molested or painted over. The chest provides generous storage space and a large surface on which to display decorative items or perhaps a mirror? Upper drawer feature removable dividers allowing the drawer space to be zoned for different uses. Features the E-Gomme gold stamp to the inside drawer. Dimensions: Width: 96cm Height: 64.5cm Depth: 47cm Drawer Widths: 90cm Drawer Heights: 11cm A very desirable piece, in excellent restored condition, there are some minor polished in marks as to be expected, please see photographs for more detail. A lovely piece that would bring a touch of classic mid century style to any interior space.
