About the Item
This version of our bureau series is called the "Claire" bureau, and it is handmade with grain-matched fumed ebony oak veneer panels. It is available in 2 wood options in a single size, and it includes 3 solid walnut drawers on soft close glides. Grain matching of the drawer faces and at the mitered top edge allows a visually seamless transition of grain pattern from the drawer faces across the top of the bureau. The bureau has no visible hardware, and is opened by grasping the edges of the 3 drawer faces. It rests on 4 polished metal feet, which are recessed from the face of the drawers and from the back edge of the unit, enabling the bureau to be flush with the wall. Wood options: figured white oak veneer panels and fumed ebony oak veneer panels. The bureau is often sold in pairs, and the two units have been designed to sit flush with each other.

StudioDiPaolo was founded in 2015, and our design studio and fabrication facility are located in Oakland, CA. We design and build a collection of modern minimalist wood tables utilizing beautiful, carefully selected and locally sourced FSC certified wood in both solid stock and veneer panels. Our efforts to select materials with consistent color and grain enables us to compose the appearance of each piece and careful grain-matching of the wood is a further opportunity to enhance the visual continuity of each piece. We incorporate brushed stainless steel, and powder coated steel components into a number of the pieces in our collection, and all of our pieces are protected with durable and environmentally responsible finishes. Our commitment to minimalist design principles, elegant proportions and fine craftsmanship informs the pieces we make, and we make them to last a lifetime.
