Swedish Gustavian Style Painted Wood Chest

About the Item

A Swedish Gustavian-style painted wood chest from the Mid-20th Century. This mid-century chest from Sweden, designed in typical Gustavian style, features a simple, clean design with slightly overhanging top over case which houses three graduated drawers, a straight molded skirt, and presented on four spaded legs adorn with fluted carvings. The drawer fronts are each outlined in trim molding and fitted with a pair of simple ring pulls and escutcheon at their center. The finish is primarily gray with a subtle green hue, and darker accent trim. This Swedish painted chest will be a perfect case piece to add a touch of clean Gustavian décor to your bedroom, foyer, or living room.
