This charming late 18th-century George III oak standing corner cupboard is a remarkable piece of furniture. The tall upper section features a carved broken swan neck pediment and a dentil-moulded cornice, flanked by a pair of fluted pilasters and canted corners. The cupboard doors, crafted from oak with elegant mahogany crossbanding, open to reveal an interior with three shaped shelves. A pull-out sliding tray separates the doors, enhancing the cupboard's functionality. The piece is elegantly raised on a shaped plinth base. This Georgian corner cupboard exemplifies fine country furniture, showcasing the craftsmanship of the local cabinetmaker who used the finest available timbers combined with classic architectural detailing. Notable for its superb original colour and rich patina, this cupboard is in excellent condition. A stunning 18th century walnut Dutch armoire. The large angular crown with stepped moulding, above two tall solid cross banded panelled doors separated and flanked by pilaster columns with shaped mouldings to the base and carvings to the top. One key operates the locking right door and acts as a pull. The left door latches from the inside to keep it in place when closed. Just behind the doors are three shelves and two drawers. The base with a repeat shape as the top cornice. The whole is supported by 4 large bun feet. The detail continues with two cross banded panelled sides with soft curved corners.
