18th Century French Cupboard
About the Item
We sourced this wonderful antique painted cupboard in Normandy, France.
Beautiful dry scraped paint revealing many layers and colours.
Showing a few bumps and masses of character. In good structural condition with small signs of historic worm which has been re-treated to be on the safe side. Complete with original working lock and key.
Interestingly there is a metal chest secured to the inside in which we found some 1940's French Francs.
The inside is divided with shelves on one side and coat hooks on the other.
