19th Century Satinwood and Marquetry Kidney-Shaped Writing Desk with Leather Top

About the Item

A satinwood and marquetry kidney-shaped writing desk in the manner of Maple & Co The moulded and tooled leather inset top above an arrangement of nine drawers, inlaid throughout with engraved foliate scrolls, and urns, within ebonized stringing and tulipwood banding, the whole supported on brass caster-shod tapering legs, circa 1890.
