Antique Federal Cherrywood Desk and Glassdoor Bookcase

About the Item

A Late Federal Cherrywood Desk and Bookcase, Circa 1830. This unique piece includes a folding desk and make a fabulous looking compact desk with plenty of storage in bookcase above. This was possibly a clerk's desk. Includes plenty of storage and desk folding allows for extra room. Features lovely turned legs. Dimensions 75 H x 41 1/2 W x 25 1/4 D inches (unfolded). The height of the shelves are as follows, starting from the bottom of the upper cabinet going up. From the bottom - Cubbyhole shelf section 13 inches high Next shelf 7 inches and 1/8 high next shelf 8 inches and 1/8 high top shelf 10 inches and 1/8 high Shelf depth of all shelves 8 3/4 “ deep. Desk and bookcase are 2 pieces, so can easily be transported. Acquired from Leslie Hindman Auctioneers. Former Property from the Collection of Mrs. Joan Worrall.
