This is a fantastic and rare form of desk called a Cartonier and features a beautiful walnut case with a top in the form of a triangular etagere or bookshelf. The piece is designed in the Directoire style and was most likely made in NYC by a maker like Slack & Rassnick or Grosfeld House. The desk is in very good condition with minimal signs of age and wear and dates to teh 1950s era..
