About the Item
Exceptional Mid Century Danish Modern secretary desk executed in stunning vibrant rosewood, and rosewood veneer, designed by Erling Torvits, made in Denmark by Klim Mobelfabrik circa 1960's.
The desk features a lower section with two banks of three drawers, for storage of larger items. The upper section consists of a flip down writing surface, which opens to reveal a bank of four drawers on the right, which flank an open storage space, with three drawers above, and another storage space above that, with two sliding door fronts. Running across the upper edge of the desk is a set of three hidden drawers which have a discreet button to release the latched drawers.
This is an unusual and rare cabinet, from the Golden Age of Danish design, still relevant to todays interior spaces.
This example is in very good overall condition, one of the drawers at the lower section shows minor loss to its pull, please see images.
