About the Item

An important monumental Executive Desk from the beauty mogul, Sydell Miller, Palm Beach home and collection. Most of the fine art and avant-garde furniture and sculpture was originally sold at Christie's in New York. This luxurious desk is from the famous La Rêverie home in Palm Beach, Florida. This desk would be a great addition to any high-end interior be it Art Deco, Hollywood Regency or Modern. For the collector who also wants to own a piece of history. The one-of-a-kind custom desk is made of maple wood, wood substrate, beige striped horse hair, brass nail heads, and bronze designer handles. The rectangular top desk is over three frieze drawers, the kneehole is framed by banks of three stacked drawers. Eleven drawers total for ample storage. This desk is structurally sound and in good condition, with age-appropriate wear. There are some minor stains as shown in the images. The most interesting part of the desk is the designer, Peter Marino Architects who designed and sourced all of the furnishings in this Palm Beach commission.
