Rare Vintage Rustic Western Oak Desk & Chair Set from Yellowstone National Park

About the Item

This desert oak desk & chair set was custom ordered by the Yellowstone National Park Services from Westwood of Texas. We procured this particular desk & chair directly from the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Cabins where they have been in use for the past 40+ years. Desk & chair feature solid oak construction with visible dowel joints and a wonderfully rustic design. They even still have their original Yellowstone National Park Concessions District inventory tags! With the perfect mix of Mid-Century Modern, Western Rustic, and historic provenance, this set is the perfect conversation piece for the nature/national park lover's home office. Own a rare piece of Yellowstone history!

The desk was made specifically for a client in the Promontory Apartment Building in Chicago designed by Nelson's associate, and world-renowned architect, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
