About the Item

An unusually large Welsh dresser with four drawers above a shaped apron pierced with inverted heart shapes. Standing on three cabriole legs across the front, each one with fluting at the knees. The two legs at each end finish with trifid feet while the center leg ends in an unusual four-lobed (quadrifid?) foot. The rack features a cupboard at each end. Each shelf has a scallop-shaped frieze beneath and the molded cornice has a shaped and pierced frieze below as well. This form is typically associated with Shropshire.
