About the Item
Louis XVI White Dresser Fleur de Lis designed by renowned designer Paul Mathieu. This long white dresser has got nine drawers with his interpretation of Fleur de Lis motif carved all over the piece. A remarkable white dresser piece in which each of the exterior faces is entirely sculpted out of a solid piece of wood by hand, then covered with metal sheet.
Fleur de Lis design is part of the Louis XVI style collection he created for Stephanie Odegard. The available options for metal cladding are brass, white bronze, antiqued bronze, silver and copper. Both silver and copper will tarnish over time. Regular non-abrasive household metal polishes can be used to restore the original finish.
Louis XVI White Dresser Fleur de Lis
Categories: Furniture, Case Pieces and Storage Cabinets, Dressers, Credenzas, Sideboards, Storage Cabinets, New and Custom Credenzas, Antique furniture, Louis XVI style
Size- 84" x 18" x 33" H
Materials - White Bronze, Teak
Technique: Hand-Carved
Please note that moisture in air, sudden change in temperature and natural movement of wood over time causes the metal to wrinkle or bubble up. We use well seasoned, reclaimed teak and high quality marine grade MDF (wherever technically possible) to avoid and delay the above mentioned changes. However a perfect stability of metal cannot be guaranteed.
Please note that our smooth finish metal clad pieces will have some unavoidable tool marks. This is proof that everything is done by hand. The smooth finish will not come out like a machine made perfect surface and the master artisan will do their best to make it look as good/clean/stable/perfect as he possibly can.
Our hammered finishes are a much safer option if the tool mark scratches are unacceptable. The hammered finishes are also safer against eventual bubbling/wrinkles due to natural forces as mentioned above.
We would love to send you some samples before order confirmation so that the finish can be judged and experienced first hand.
