Mid-Century Modern Vanity with Large Mirror
About the Item
60" wide, 22" deep and 24.5" tall. Mirror is 50" wide and 36.25" Tall. Overall height 60.75"
Leather & light Primavera wood.
Maker unknown, and in the style or after Paul Lazlo and likely Widdicomb production. Primavera wood with tinted lacquer, contains 3 internal slide drawers behind a leather clad hinged front. A sliding glass door operates in the area below. The bank of drawers have slats or dividers in the dresser drawers and is a few inches deeper than the table top. The glass mirror attaches via wood posts to the rear and has 4 brass brackets (one for each corner) holding the mirror in place. The sled legged design is in contrast to the large solid wood legs below the drawers. This piece has a touch of Art Deco element to it and has stencil markings to the back "480 Vanity" that is identical to Widdicomb stencils used pre-1940.
Minor restorations performed, new lacquer throughout.
