About the Item
Collection ROLLETA designed by Herrmann & Coufal and manufactured by local Czech design studio FUTURO presents the variety of ash tree drawings, craftsmanship and a specific opening system.
It was first presented at the Designblok Prague 2020 show and soon received several design nominations.Front view of the cabinet offers a painting of the artist supreme – Mother Nature herself. It is created by almost 100 hand-assembled slats.
Handles made of solid wood are hidden under a lamella casing with artfully concealed magnets that guarantee precise closing of the door. The frame and the base are made of solid wood either. Apart from its aesthetic function wood ensures increased durability in exposed areas.

In 2017, we founded FUTURO studio in response to our growing inner voice, longing for self-realization and the desire to prove that furniture does not have to be just consumer goods.
We focus on working with thin sheets of wood, which we cut into small pieces and then assemble by hand into various patterns and motives, which we apply to the furniture.
We love looking for ways to create things that seemingly cannot be created. Equally, we are fascinated by modern technologies we use in our work which gradually expanded from private spaces to cafés, hotels, or even a castle. FUTURO is future

Tapparelle is a collection of elements that explore the traditional technique of antan office furniture with sliding shutters no longer in use, turning them into furniture for the contemporary home with soft and unusual lines.
The base has tapered solid oak feet and sliding shutters. The sliding shutters, "Tapparelle" in Italian (from there comes the name of the product), specially designed for this collection, are composed in chopsticks in solid oak and hand mounted on cotton canvas, as true artisan tradition wants. The structure is in wood panels thickness 16 mm, with double bottom that hides the sliding of the shutter.
