About the Item
An absolutely stunning Vintage Rosewood Flip Top Bar Cart Cabinet By Torbjørn Afdal For Bruksbo Norway. Beautiful rosewood grain inside and out with intricate details inside with brass accents. Plenty of storage for liquor and wine. Very exceptional condition everything works as it should very minimal use come with 2 keys to Lock when not in use. Sits on 4 casters to roll around easily. Made in Norway.
This is of exceptional quality, with a clever and very useful design. The grain patterns and colour tones are gorgeous, this is an incredibly impressive piece.
The doors open 180 degrees, the black formica top flips open and slides across to rest on the doors. The cabinet can be locked when closed and a very clever feature of this design, is that the same locks are used to keep the doors in place when they are open and supporting the unfolded top. The interior is beautifully fitted out, with a built in bottle rack and a drawer. The back of this is also beautifully finished, this sits on lovely chrome casters and is designed to be rolled around very easily.

Torbjørn Afdal
Torbjørn Afdal was one of the leading designers at Bruksbo Tegnekontor and in Scandinavia. Afdal became more well known when his furniture was bought by US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy and by the Japanese Emperor. In later years, he was granted the commission to design the parliamentary and chairs and tables to the courthouse in Oslo.
