About the Item

Charming double-rod towel bar that is made of wood and hand-painted in black with a simple swag and flower pattern. Exact age and origin unknown but feels like 1920s to 1940s and probably American. There are two holes for screws in the back piece. Original antique condition. Original paint surface with crazing. Nicks and dings to edges of wood. Paint loss to the rods. There is a split in one of the side arms but it does not go through. Measures approximately 4" deep x 3" high x 16" wide. ** I may have this upside down in the photos (!) -- especially given where the screw or nail holes are. But I like the idea of the more decorative painted part being on top so it is more visible once you hang a towel.
