Sline is the long-awaited child of a mural shelf and a bookend. Thanks to its simple and sliding lines, this is the new 2 in 1 your living room absolutely needs. Just appropriate Sline to adapt it for your books and objects and give it the shape you want. A little bit of magic and bingo! The sliding shelves stretch out along the wall, adjust it again and again to highlight your favourite items. Day after day, imagine a new architecture, It’s totally up to you! Placed in staggered rows, it becomes a bookcase but also a bookend to keep the whole thing neat. No more excuses to leave your books lying around. “I take my inspiration into origami techniques to create some elegant, unique and functional objects” Astrid Louchart comes from Lille, north of France, and started to practice in 2014, right after obtaining her “Global design” master degree at L’Ecole Bleue, Paris. Very quickly, she made a name for herself. Nominated at RADO STAR PRIZE, in 2015. This very year, she also successfully presented her lightning TESSE at NOW LE OFF (Paris Design Week). She now practices at Rapp&Nogen architecture agency (Paris), handling space design, but she still loves product design. She takes her inspiration into origami techniques to create some elegant, unique and functional objects. Astrid Louchart explains that she wanted, by creating Sline, "to break the block-linear row of books side, which often collapses at the end".
