French Modern Style Spherical Two-Tier Patinated Gilt Metal and Glass Bar Cart, Circa 1970s
A striking example of French modernist design, this sculptural two-tier bar cart features a circular patinated gilt metal frame enclosing two tiers of removable glass shelving. The spherical form lends the piece a dramatic, almost architectural presence, while the aged golden finish adds a refined warmth and character.
The cart stands 34.5 inches high to the top of the sphere, with the upper shelf at 30 inches high and the lower shelf at 10 inches high. Both shelves are inset with clear glass panels measuring 22 by 21.5 inches and are easily removable for cleaning or restyling. The entire structure is mounted on oversized black casters that roll smoothly and lend a subtle industrial edge to the design.
Elegant and functional, this mobile cart is ideal as a cocktail trolley, occasional table, or stylish display piece. Its modernist geometry and patinated finish make it versatile for both mid-century and contemporary interiors.
In very good vintage condition with light wear to the gilt patina, consistent with age and use. A beautifully balanced blend of form, movement, and utility.
