Maison Charles Extremely Rare Gold Plated Bronze Palm Leaf Coffee Center Table
About the Item
Charles for Maison Charles exceptionally rare 'Palme Pieds' (Palm legs), large gold-plated cast brass/bronze French coffee / center / side table. This is an early example which has the 'pine cone' finals to tighten the legs to the glass table top - the later models do not have this detail. Opulent, ornate and decadent, everything you would expect from beautifully crafted French design. Perfect for any Hollywood Regency home or lover of midcentury design and a real collector's piece.
Nicely patinated, the piece is in overall in excellent vintage condition. Some fading to the gold-plated finish and a slight chip to the edge of the glass top - as shown in photos 13 & 14. Each leg is stamped 'made in France - Charles'.
