Struttura in ottone brunito, inserti in ottone lucido, cristallo colorato concavo specchiato, piano di cristallo trasparente di forte spessore.

Un capolavoro di esecuzione artistica e manuale questo raro tavolino presenta uno specchio concavo che amplifica la percezione visiva guardando al suo interno, nella rara versione color arancio, ampiamente documentato nella bibliografia di

Celebre maestro del vetro d’arte, Max Ingrand cresce ammirando le vetrate della Cattedrale di Chartres, sua prima vera fonte di ispirazione. Attraverso continue ricerche sulla tecnica dell’incisione ad acido e a sabbia, raggiunge una raffinatezza di mestiere magistrale. Approda alla direzione artistica di Fontana Arte verso la metà degli anni ’50 diventando il protagonista del passaggio ad una produzione industriale e licenziando alcune delle soluzioni più originali mai realizzate.
Fontana Arte è un'azienda italiana fondata a Milano nel 1932 da Luigi Fontana e Giò Ponti e specializzata nella lavorazione del vetro e nella realizzazione di complementi d'arredo. È nota per la lavorazione del cristallo curvato e per la produzione di apparati per l'illuminazione diventando negli anni l' azienda di maggior rilievo per il design italiano.
