18th Century Louis XV Walnut Table or Ladies Desk

About the Item

This antique French Louis XV side table, or ladies desk, is a real 18th century gem. Crafted from walnut, and opening with a single apron drawer, it would make a fabulous end table, or small writing desk. Showing plenty of authentic character from its lifetime of use, it is well constructed, with an overhanging rectangular top, dovetail joints and a simple shaped apron, over four slender arching legs. In keeping with its age and usage, it does have some superficial marks and signs of wear, but these in no way detract from its charm.
