19th Century Amboyna and Ebonised Sofa Table

About the Item

19th century amboyna and ebonised centre / sofa table, the rounded rectangular top with ormolu beading, ebonised edge and amboyna banding, with black leather top decorated with blind and gold tooling, the frieze below decorated with ormolu beading and having a mahogany lined drawer at the front of the table, supported on twin columns terminating on swept feet united by a turned stretcher. The table itself is decorated throughout with twenty circular plaques in ormolu mounts, a highly decorative table and in excellent condition, Circa 1860.
