Antique Edwardian Desk
About the Item
A beautiful antique Edwardian desk, made in England and dating from around the 1900-1910 period.
This is of superb quality, it is extremely well made and is a lovely size. The wood has profuse floral inlays of satinwood on the drawer fronts, the top has inlaid satinwood banding around the inset tooled leather writing surface. The drawers have detailed brass handles, with fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. The back of the desk is nicely finished, this can be used as a free standing item.
We have had this re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age. The casters are original and have become stiff with age, so this doesn’t roll on the casters, although we are going to try to free them up again.
