Black Lacquer Desk by Bodart Furniture

This Louis XV style black lacquer desk with inlaid leather top was created by Bodart Furniture Company of Grand Rapids Michigan during the 1950s. The quality and workmanship characterize the skill used in making Bodart pieces which were crafted of solid wood with bronze fittings. Bodart was in business from 1949 to 1973 in Grand Rapids Michigan. Bodart is a known competitor of the John Widdicomb Company also from Grand Raids.
