Early 20th C. French Louis XV Carved Mahogany and Marble-Top Lady Table Desk

About the Item

Decorate a study or boudoir with this elegant antique lady’s desk. Crafted in France, circa 1900, the cabinet shaped as a kidney sits on four carved cabriole legs embellished ending with bronze mounts over the feet; the commode features a red marble top with a pierced brass gallery around the perimeter, a central pull-out surface top upholstered with blue felt, with a theater and five inside drawers. The chest also has a larger drawer under the writing top. The petite cabinet also features inlay design work on the front and on both curved sides, and is embellished with decorative bronze mounts on the scalloped apron and corners. The table desk is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina. Measures: 38" W x 22" D x 39.5" H.
