About the Item

Quite possibly one of the prettiest Antique English Edwardian period Adam style Bonheur du Jours or Ladies Writing Tables with magnificent "Adam" style marquetry inlaid urns and Welk shells among other inlays prominently used. The inlays are exceptionally well done showing the artisitc talents of the cabinetmaker or inlayer of the day. There are front and side pierced and fretted corner supports and the entire table stands upon handsome square, tapered legs. A delightful piece to add to any room be it a living area, family area or bedroom. It retains its two original keys and the round brass knob is also original. In age-appropriate near-pristine condition with a professionally repair to one of the urn finials along the right side. Otherwise it is without any faults.
