About the Item
In the world of vintage mid-century desks the Hans Von Klier desk is one of the most desireable. I love a good desk and this is one of the best in my opinion. I have sat at this desk and used it. Its fantastic to sit behind. The leather top is fantastic even with the few original marks on the top. I love the three pencil drawers and the fact that they they don't feel like they are there but when you open them they are shallow and only allow a few items and not allow for a lot of clutter.
I also love the way the mahogany and leather desk top float above the steel. Conceptually the desktop is meant to look like it's floating and the the steel should reflect the floor and almost disappear. The steel has a few small dents, they cannot be removed, they don't detract from the piece. I am going to assume that by virtue of you reading this and looking at this piece then you accept that mid-century items come with some signs of age but they also come with that great 1970s design and materials that are not always used these days in modern furniture.
To sum this piece up : Its beautiful. It's great to use. You feel good sitting at it and you will look good sitting at it. It's a powerful desk. It's easy to ship because it disassembles and it's easy to set up anywhere because it's easy to assemble.

- Condition:Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. All mahogany has been polished. Leather is original and has some marks however the leather is so wonderful that we feel it would be a mistake to change it and we also feel the marks do not detract from the piece. The steel legs have a few small dents.
