About the Item
A rare wooden coffee table attributed to Giuseppe Scapinelli, the coffee table has an organic style and the shapes are soft with sinuous lines.
The coffee table proposed here can be easily placed either in a private home, as a side table or bedside table, or in an office.
Giuseppe Scapinelli was born in 1891 in Modena, but chose Brazil as his second homeland. In the 1950s he became a successful furniture manufacturer and retailer in São Paulo with his furniture factory, Fábrica de Móveis Giesse, and his carpet factory, Fábrica de Tapetes Santa Helena. His pieces are impeccably crafted in Brazilian traditional wood. Its style is distinguished from the leading industry players of the time by its soft shapes and curvy lines.
He designed and produced many unique pieces for houses in São Paulo before he died in 1982.
