This is a large antique artist's bench. An English, mahogany over pitch pine patinated kitchen table or desk, dating to the Edwardian period and later, circa 1910.
Lovingly patinated with remnants of oils and acrylics, comfortably seating 6
Displays a captivating aged patina, enthusiastically used and robust
Thick top mottled and accentuated with a colourful palette of paints
Stout pitch pine 'A' frame ends show fine grain interest and caramel hues
United with a superb stretcher rail, offering an ample foot rest for diners
This is a striking and wonderfully versatile antique artist's bench. Well suited to a working artist, or for adding distinction to the study or kitchen. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
