About the Item

Mid-Century Modern high gloss navy blue "Ponte" desk with an oval top having a glass top and a single drawer supported on a single side round pedestal base with two drawers. (Wade beam for Brueton) J. Wade Beam is an American visual artist. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Tee console, Freeport' sold at Rago Arts and Auction Center 'Mid-Mod' in 2017. For more than ninety years, Brueton, a US manufacturer, based in metropolitan New York, has become known for our diversified expertise in manufacturing high end furniture catering to architects and designers. Brueton produces a highly stylized line of contemporary furniture for the residential, contract and hospitality markets. We were one of the first companies to introduce stainless steel into the manufacturing of furniture, developing a particular specialty crafting stainless steel products. We also work with steel, wood and upholstery, producing our extensive line of tables, seating, beds and case goods as well as a collection of stainless steel accessories.
