17th CENTURY DESK TABLE LOUIS XIV

About the Item

Beautiful solid walnut table with spool-turned legs and inlaid lemon wood fillets. The top is curved (very rare for the time, as is the lemon wood thread), while the top band is straight and has two comfortable drawers on one side with turned knob pulls. The drawers, also embellished with an inlaid fillet of lemon wood, are present only on one side, this allows the table to be used both as a dining table and as a writing desk. Finally, the table is very comfortable and can be used with normal chairs, since the top juts out from the band, leaving a lot of space. The object can be attributed to the Louis XIV period and to Tuscan manufacture at the end of the 17th century. Measurements: HxWxD 75 x 164 x 85cm
