About the Item
Paradosso plays with optical illusions and the decomposition of pure geometric shapes, lends itself to a multitude of interpretations depending on the observer’s point of view. ‘Paradox’ blends tradition and modernity: modern inlay, in fact, through the use of woods with warm colours, exudes a sense of familiarity, bringing with it strong references of the past. The new conjugation of tradition is the true paradox of these tables, which transmit contrasting sensations to the observer, between the known and the unknown.
Features
Canaletto walnut table with hand inlaid top in precious woods.
Designer
Hebanon Studio, product design studio behind the century-old company Hebanon Fratelli Basile - 1830.
Our creations are born from the observation of People. We try to interpret their desires and emotions, evolution and dynamism. Our vocation is to give people a small moment of wonder. Because the moments that amaze us, make our days interesting and bring us back to a state of serenity.
Language
Our language stems from our cultural heritage coming from the Kingdom of the two Sicilies and from cabinetmaking of which we have internalized the discipline, technique and vision.
- The carvings: they become elements that sculpt the air and dictate the rhythm of space; a game of seduction between opposites: hot and cold, masculine and feminine, natural and precious materials, pure and primary shapes alternating with organic forms of nature.
- The inlays: they lose the only decorative value, acquiring in themselves the narrative value of the object; perspectives, optical illusions, sometimes provocative, sometimes sensual, sometimes ethereal and elusive, natural materials and textures that anthropomorphize nature.
The Company identity
42 are the wooden species kept in our vault of centuries-old veneers, 5 of which are endangered; 2 are the result of anomalies: woods tell as much about humanity as people do.
In Hebanon Fratelli Basile 1830 we operate with respect for man and the environment,
using only non-toxic products for human health, formaldehyde free, wood with forest certifications and recovering processing waste as a source of complementary energy.
All products are 100% certified Designed and manufactured in Italy, branded and identified by an identification number and holographic mark that guarantee their uniqueness and originality in the world.

Hebanon Fratelli Basile - 1830
Woods tell as much about humanity as people do: this is the conviction behind Hebanon Fratelli Basile - 1830® research project and our home and kitchen furniture lines. A research on language and composition that starts from the universal values shared by every individual. The purity of materials and shapes, together with ancient cabinet-making techniques reinterpreted in a modern and contemporary key, tell not only a lifestyle but also stories. For us an object is design if it has a heart, a soul and a brain: it is with this spirit that we design and produce furniture. Hebanon is a "land" of disciplined visionaries: we operate in the convinced choice of a slow design that restores value to the home and to those who live in it according to 4 fundamental principles: Empathy, Design, Commitment and Technical Avant-garde. Behind the Hebanon Fratelli Basile - 1830® project is the product design Hebanon Studio whose creators are Giovanna, Maria and Nicola Basile. Our creations are born from the observation of People. We try to interpret their desires, emotions and dynamism by creating comfortable objects whose graphic sign can describe the poetry of small daily gestures. Our vocation is to give people a small moment of wonder. Because the moments that amaze us, make our days interesting and bring us back to a state of serenity. We want to create not only furniture but anchors, works in which to immerse and identify, amaze and fall in love, a place in which to say: this is my home
