About the Item

Dining table by De Coene Frères chairs, model Voltaire, featured in original catalogue as the number 03-81-689 (Source: Noël Hostens, De Coene Archives). The design dates to the 1940s in late Art Deco, neo-classical style. The table is made from Iroko wood which has a warm amber, golden, medium brown colour. The strong rectangular shape, highlighted by the slightly protruding brass edging or rim, is softened by the curved corners and rounded, tapered legs with the distinctive De Coene brass feet. Also available as a dining room set with 6 matching chairs, model Voltaire. - Condition: solid restored — this vintage item is in very good condition because it has been refreshed through refinishing.
