Åke Axelsson is one of Sweden’s most experienced active designers and interior designers. Since the end of the fifties, his interior design assignments have been plenty and significant. Axelsson has spent a lot of passionate time analyzing the construction of chairs, including studying ancient Greek and Egyptian chairs. His design is characterized by simplicity and reduction, with form and function clearly deriving from functionalism.
