About the Item

This walnut wine tasting–or vendange–table was made in the 19th century in France. Used by wine-makers throughout France and Europe, these specialized tables feature the ability to be stored away when not in use thanks to the tilting mechanism that allows its top to be positioned in upright orientation so as to take up less space in tightly-quartered cellars. This antique occasional table is made of walnut and has inviting color and patina to use as a small dining table or center table. When tilted upright, the table measures: 49” H x 49 ¾” W x 19 ½” D.
