Mid-Century Michael Taylor For Baker Extension Dining Table Far East Collection
About the Item
A stunning extension table that Michael Taylor designed for Baker Furniture. This beautiful and functional table is ready for immediate install. This table starts out as a rectangle but with three impressive leaves it can extend to 122". The table has a slight chinoiserie feel (especially at the bottom of the table legs). It was part of the Far East Collection he did for Baker.
The table was originally done in a high gloss black lacquer but it was badly scratched and chipped. We had our refinisher remove the original painted finish and stain the table black with a satin finish. Due to the color variations in the walnut there are areas of the table that aren't a deep black but rather a shade of espresso. It is stunning.
The table starts out as a rectangle. The dimensions are 68"L x 44"W x 28.25"H. There are three leaves (18" each).
Micheal Taylor was one of Architectural Digest's Top 20 Designers of All Time. He is considered to be the father of the California look. He designed several furniture collections for Baker. This table is a great example of his timeless design sensibility.
