Fred Brouard was born April 28, 1944 in Caen in Normandy. At sixteen he was admitted to the Beaux-Arts in Rouen, where he follows a classical education taught by the painter and sculptor Savary Leleu. He passes the entrance exam to the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, settles in the capital and gets married. He earns his living by doing odd jobs while attending courses of Fine Arts where he entered the studio of Henri-Georges Adam. This encourages him to persevere in the medium of sculpture. He then takes the decision to live alone in a room of the Latin Quarter, where he researches his works which merely small plaster sculptures lack of money.
In 1967 he becomes assistant to sculptor Alicia Penalba and she allows him to display in 1970 at the International Exhibition of Jewelry Art Contemporain de Montreal. In 1973, he obtained a home workshop Artists Nogent sur Marne and begins a long period of friendship and confrontation with colleagues. Through John Craven, he meets Emilio Marccioni, who has an interior design shop SANTANGELO, and they collaborate as sculptors who can create furniture sculpture in bronze. He finally realizes his dream of tackling all the opportunities in the material. He exhibits with the New School of Paris by Denys Knight, president of the Young Sculpture Show, and in New York at the Sonnabend Gallery.
In 1974 he exhibited for the first time at the Great Exhibition and Youth of Today, and in many provincial cities. He was awarded the "Signatures". He was invited in 1975 at the Biennale of Padua in Lausanne. In 1976, he acquired in Verneuil sur Seine, Yvelines a small house with a garden where he built his studio and he hoped to find new strengths, his relationship with Nogent group were heavy during this period. He participated in many group exhibitions. He polished his bronzes with a craftsman, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Louis Privat, who will provide the drive for perfection.
In 1977, he continued to participate in major exhibitions in Paris, won the prize for sculpture from the ADAC, is asked as a jury member of the prize "Signatures"
In 1978 he had his first solo exhibition at Espace Ecureuil in Paris. He participates in the International Exhibition of Vaudreuil, exposes to Heidelberg in the gallery Hartmut Schwarzkopf. In 1981 he exhibited at Jeddah in Saudi Arabia at the Salon d'Art Sacré in Paris.
In 1982 he exhibited at the Salon in May at the Espace Cardin, the Salon d'Automne, the First European Biennial of sculpture.
In 1983, he was selected to create the trophy for the Union Chamber of Importers of Automobiles for the meeting Prestige Automotive - Haute Couture ". The National Fund for Contemporary Art purchased one of his monumental sculpture. He exhibited at the Biennial of Murska Zobota and realizes a sculpture for the city of Coal.
In 1984, the year of transition, it gets a studio in the city of Paris in the 15 - district.He exhibited at the Paris Air Show. In 1986, he exhibited his jewelry at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, was invited to the EC Forum de la Villette. In 1987, he began to sell through Drouot auction devoted to some contemporary sculptors at the initiative of Mr Eric Couturier. In 1988, he created jewelry made of wood and bronze for the collection of designer Cumali Sen.
In 1989 he exhibited for the second consecutive year at the Atlantis Gallery and prepares a former personal position on the topic of "mechanical birds", which takes place at the Galerie de l'Odeon in 1990 to critical acclaim. In 1991 and 1992 he participated again in numerous group exhibitions, including Evreux at the initiative of the General Council of Eure, in Saga, and Art News in Paris, he received many of his collectors in workshop, which sometimes required him to his great surprise, to melt bronze superb pieces in exotic woods. In 1993, he made at the request of the General Council of l'Ain, a monumental relief of twelve meters of mahogany for the city of Bourg en Bresse, warmly welcomed by the public and local press. In 1994 and 1995, he traveled to the Caribbean and Egypt, where he continued underwater explorations and exhibited at Art Actuel which periodically invites Anne Kron has always loved, defended and sold his work.

So may be prescient, 1998 is the year of homecoming, he made frequent comings and goings in Normandy, where he participates in various exhibitions as it offers exposure to the Central Agency for Societe Generale in Paris for which he undertook a series of new pieces that remain in draft form .... Cancer takes him away March 2, 1999.
Fred Brouard the celebrated French sculptor was born in 1944 in Caen, Normandy. He attended the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris. Beginning in 1971, Brouard participated in numerous important Parisian salons, including Comparaisons, Jeune Sculpture, Grands et Jeunes d'Aujourd'hui, Réalités Nouvelles, and Salon de Mai. His work can be found in private collections throughout France and also abroad. His first solo exhibition came in 1978 at L'Espace Ecureuil in Paris.
