French Antique Oak Extending Farmhouse Table
This solid oak dining table features a four plank table top that consists of 4cm bevelled edge planks with later additional slide-in extension leaves for versatile dining options.
Constructed in the traditional manner with pegged joints, the table shows many years of service with a warm well-aged patina.
Squared legs with bevelled edges stand on tipped feet to provide good knee space beneath the table top frieze. Within the frieze is a mock drawer front on one side.
Everything is held in place by a central lower stretcher.
The table measures 160 cm wide without extension leaves and 270 cm wide with extension leaves added, which comfortably seats up to 12 people.
In great condition, the table has been cleaned and polished and the legs have been tipped to provide adequate under-table knee height.
Please note that there is a small discrepancy at table top level where the extension leaves join the main table surface. Please see photographs.
