Mid-Century Three-Piece Rattan Nesting Table Set, 1950s

About the Item

A very attractive and well-made 1950s three-piece set of rattan nesting tables. Tables feature natural rattan frames with cane-wrapped accents throughout. A nice design detail are racetrack-shaped thin rattan elements between the vertical elements of the three closed sides of each table. Tops are blonde wood veneer with a warm tone that compliments the frames, and are finished with rattan trim. Well-crafted from top to bottom, with a timeless design that would look equally at home in a mid-century, boho chic, or tiki interior, as well as out on a covered patio or lanai. Retains “Made in the Philippines” paper label. Dimensions listed are of the largest table; individual table dimensions are as follows: Large: H 24 in. x W 23.38 in. x D 17 in. Medium: H 20 in. x W 18.5 in. x D 15 in. Small: H 16 in. x W 12.5 in. x D 13 in.

A very handsome mid-century A. Brandt Co. Ranch Oak desk and chair set with a great classic American West look. Hand-crafted design features rustic hand-carved and chiseled details on both the desk and chair, which have a warm honey oak finish and display very handsome grain throughout. Desk with three drawers at left and two open shelves at right. Fully finished on all sides so that it can be placed anywhere in a room. Blackened metal rounded-head nails or furniture tacks punctuate drawer pulls and various frame elements, adding a bit of nicely understated decoration. Finished on all sides so it can float in a room. Ranch Oak logo branded on inside of top drawer. Chair with contoured seat, slat back, and handle cut-out at top. Both it and the desk have great craftsmanship, and make for a very sturdy set that’s meant to last a lifetime. A. Brandt Company was established in Fort Worth, Texas in 1900, with their Ranch Oak line produced from 1938 to the mid-1980s. This particular set dates from the 1950s.
