Florentine Neoclassical Fluted Gilt and Cream Painted Pedestal, Italy, 1940
About the Item
Neoclassical style parcel gilt and Gesso Venetian cream painted columnar pedestal stand, Italy, c. 1940. It features a square top over a fluted column on a square plinth to a stepped, footed base, decorated with scrolling embossed foliate motifs. It is sturdy and stable with a desirable, character-enhancing patina throughout. Elegant alone or perfect for a sculpture, plant or vase. The top is 7 3/4" square. Stamped "Made in Italy" on the bottom.
