About the Item

This elegant continental multi-color marble "Selette" was crafted in France, circa 1980. The Napoleon III style pedestal sits on a thick sturdy square plinth embellished with a bronze mount at the base decorated with repousse acanthus leaf motifs. The tapered stem is decorated at the neck with an ornate bronze ring representing "Le Roi Soleil" (The sun king Louis XIV). The surface is dressed with a rectangular top, 16" x 12". The tall variegated pedestal table is in excellent condition with a patinated finish and different shades of marble in the grey, red, white, and beige palette. Place this timeless, classical column in the corner of a living room to hold a bust or a vase of flowers. Measures: 12.75"W x 12.75"D x39.5"H.
