Antique Victorian Occasional Side Table
About the Item
An incredibly beautiful and rare antique Victorian occasional table. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-1840 period.
It is of exceptional quality, this is constructed from solid and veneered wood. There are exquisite satinwood inlays on the top depicting flowers and butterflies, the base is also profusely inlaid with satinwood. The top lifts up to save space and is held in place with the original brass catch mechanism. This stands on a bold baluster base terminating in tripod legs.
We have had this stripped and re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with some minor wear and patina remaining here and there beneath the polish.
