Art Deco Glass and Steel Side Tables in the Manner of Gio Ponti

About

This wonderful pair are similar to the 1932 Gio Ponti "Tavolino" table for Fontana Arte. Although similar, our set has a different proportion. While the Ponti version tapers from the top surface to the base, our two glass surfaces share the same diameter, and have frosted centers. The glass is thick, with finely polished edges. We have just re-plated the metal elements in a polished nickel finish. As both our version and the Ponti version come from the same period, it makes one wonder which came first.
