British Campaign Mahogany Officer's Chest on Custom Stand, Early 1900s
About the Item
British Campaign mahogany officer's chest on a custom made stand, also in mahogany. These were used by the officers for their personal effects and were designed to travel with them wherever they were stationed. This has compartments on the top and that section lifts out to allow storage below as well. Brass strap corners, escutcheon and handles. The Stand is designed to turn the box into a side table and is custom made for it. Dates to the early 1900s and has been refinished.
