Ceramic and Gypsum Sculptural Sand Spackle Side Table by Hayden Richer

$5,000per item

Using ceramic and a kind of white gypsum cement called Hydrocal, the sand spackle side table by Hayden Richer is an investigation into the convergence of sculpture and furniture, focusing on ideas of the building, growth, weathering, and encapsulation of weight. Manifesting as quiet and humble, yet monumental and stoic, the table becomes landlike and addresses the ways in which volume and weight become a part of our surroundings. Due to the handmade nature of this object, each piece will be slightly different.
