About the Item
A delightful faux-bamboo bedside table from late 19th century France in carved pine and maple. The top surface is white marble, shaped with a dish top forming a lip around the perimeter and rounded at the corners. Below is a small, shallow drawer which sits above the drop-down cabinet lined in the same bird’s-eye maple of the exterior surfaces. Cabinet trim and legs of varying thickness are all carved from pine with the signature “nodes” like real bamboo appearing at regular intervals. A small shelf just above the floor is another opportunity for storage & display, whether one uses this charming table for a bedside or side table. Please note there is some loss of the veneer on the cabinet interior, view the detailed images to see the current condition.
