Large Painted or Polychrome Faux Ledger Book Form Low Table as Four Stacks
About the Item
Colorful faux Books as a low table with two not-so-obvious drawers .All four stacks connected as one table .
Provenance : Sir Rex Harrison ,Oscar Winner - Best Actor for Lead in My Fair Lady . Sculpted and polychrome painted ,gilt decorated wood .The finish extremely hard and durable (possibly fired ).Some light wear, dirt , grime. Some fasteners form head under the paint .Some apparent lifting ,possibly to further simulate old books . Very minor Wear and losses to the painted simulated pages and ledger book covers edges as shown . Sturdy and stable .minor chips etc. general wear and use of 50-70 years . Part of a lot at Christie’s New York .
