The corners of the top are protected by gilded brass corners. The four legs end in gilded brass spheres. Biography Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) was a French architect, decorator and designer. He began his career working for Compagnie des Arts Français, a company specializing in the production of high-quality furniture. He became famous for his work in the 1950s, when he created interiors for luxury hotels, ocean liners and government offices. Jacques Adnet was a prolific and recognized designer of his time, receiving several awards for his work, including a gold medal at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris in 1925 and the prestigious title of “Master of Art” awarded by the French government in 1955.
