Vintage Unusual Pair of Hand Painted Scenes, Italian Side Tables with Ormolu
About the Item
An unusual, delicate and rare set of two mid century Italian side tables with outstanding hand painted scenes of Italian gardens with flowing fountains on each of the table tops. The top four corners of each table having ormolu busts of women, the legs ending in ormolu (feet) atop gilded ball feet. The center stretcher with an ormolu flaming urn. The top edges hand painted to resemble inlay. Each table having a deep dovetailed drawer with a gold knob. Very unusual and lovely curved legs and stretchers.
A lovely pair to enjoy in your living room, bedroom, dressing area or study, they exude both femininity or masculinity. Italian artisans at their best!

- Condition:Repaired: Restored a small area on one stretcher that was marred and touch ups of scattered minor chips on both tables. They remain in good condition with no major losses. The hand painted tops are in good condition, probably having glass inserts before. Wear consistent with age and use. All original ormolu is present and in good condition. The tables are in good vintage condition with no major defects.
